A Hero's Truth Ending

When we first met, darkness surrounded me
You lifted it up as though it were just a blanket
From that moment on, I knew that I loved you
I could already see us holding each other

However I would have never guessed
That you would forever be in my hands
As the blade I still held you close
I promised to never let go of you

Closer than you have ever been, yet you were so far away
I wished I could tell you one more thing,
No matter what happens, I'll forever love you

Please forgive me for my deception
Though I will never be able to forgive myself

Having taken away your life,
Why would you ever give me your forgiveness
I'm sorry for not remembering what I had done to you

Nonetheless I traveled the world for you
I brightened everything, lifting the darkness

In the end, I lay there on the ground
As I breathed my last breath,
My only thoughts of where when we were still happy

Having the feeling that I did what I had to do for everybody
I lay there as my vision dimmed seeing everything go by
my life is vanishing as this goes through my head,
I can't seem to stay awake no longer

All that I wish is that you know that I care for you
That my love has never gone anywhere

I close my eyes, as I say goodbye
Saying one last thing "I love you."
