My Story

It all started with a bright flash of light
I didn't know how to react then

It's been so long since that happened
I have changed so much

This feeling is unfamiliar to me
Concerning you, what does it mean?
A distant voice seems to tell me the answer
This might be the happiness people talk about

Even after all this time I would have never guessed
A smile cracks on my face, as it happens I can't believe it
Now lets start from where we began in order to remember
Even though whatever happened all of it was certainly enough

Unfortunately this place is not where I belong
But I can never thank you enough
You changed my life, I will never forget
I will relive this moment again and again

I do not regret all the times we have had together
But here I am, crying as I say my farewells

As I faded from this world of yours, I said three words
They mean even more than I ever dared to imagine

You replied saying you love me, and I smiled at you
It's too bad it will never really happen again

It has been a year, and I still think of it every day
Sometimes I still cry, wishing to go back to your world

But destiny says I cannot go back
So now all I can do is dream of that day

For now I'll stare into the sky
